Overview: George V is an original
solitaire designed by Absolute Patience's Team.
- Played with
52 cards (1 regular deck)
- Medium
complexity and easy to win (1 game out of
2)
- The goal is
to move all cards to the 4 foundations

Rules:
- Stock
(top middle) - Starts with 43 face-down
cards. No card can be moved to the stock.
The top card is automatically moved to
the waste when the waste is empty. By
clicking the stock you send one card to
each pile of the tableau.
- Foundations
(4 top right piles) - Each foundation
starts empty. Built in ascending family
sequence (for example a 9 of diamond can
only be played on a 8 of diamond) from
Ace to King (the first card must an Ace,
the last will be a King), until each pile
contains 13 cards. The exposed card of
each foundation (except Aces) can be
played.
- Discards
(3 top left piles) - Each discard starts
with 1 face-up card. Each discard accepts
any single card. The single card of each
discard can be played.
- Tableau
(6 piles second row) - Each pile of the
tableau starts with 1 face-up card. Built
in descending alternate color sequence
(for example a 9 of diamond or a 9 of
heart can only be played on a 10 of
diamond or a 10 of spade). The exposed
card of each pile of the tableau can be
played; also a pack of exposed cards in
descending alternate color sequence (for
example 10 of heart - 9 of club - 8 of
diamond) can be played to another pile of
the tableau. Empty piles may be filled by
a King or a pack of cards in descending
alternate color sequence and led by a
King (see options).
Options:
- Empty
tableau - By default, empty
piles of the tableau can be filled by a
King or a pack of cards in descending
alternate color sequence and led by a
King. The variant allows to fill empty
piles of the tableau with any card of a
pack of cards in descending alternate
color sequence led by any card (easier).
Tips
& Strategy:
- Play
cards from the discards
- The 3 discard piles should be
cleared as soon as possible in order to
discard cards from the tableau. The
discards act as a free area where
blocking cards of the tableau can be
stored.
